i am a regular visitor of one of the temples at Chennai.i would like to share with all those who go through this blog the doings of a beggar at the temple.his name is SUBRAMANIAN and was once upon a time owning land of area 600 acres and his brothers deceived him and transferred all the property in their names.left with nothing this man was actually suffocated not because he lost all his property but because he was unable to give alms to the needy whom he used to give with both hands daily.he was not educated and so could not get any job he went with some of the pundits to eat for the annual thithi what they call as shrardham and was getting about rs 200 along with food for himself.he felt it was not enough for the noble cause of distributing to people poorer than him and so with the help of a local Dada at the temple and after taking his blessings and promising him a part of his bounty got into begging before the temple.
the temple was a very famous one with lot of tourists flowing in.by virtue of SUBRAMANIAN being a Brahman and also the richness in his face by virtue of his being born rich tempted devotees to give from rs 5 ranging till rs 100 from a few .his earnings increased to an average of rs 700.
out of curiosity i wanted to know what thisman does with the 700 and one day i followed him from morning till night and really that provided a special place for him in my mind and so shall it in all of your minds.
after begging all day in the heat ranging to 40 degrees this man at night was the KING at around 8-30 arrived a cycle rickshaw carrying a chair and it was put before the temple gates and our SUBRAMANIAN was sitting on it and was distributing all that he got during the day to an array of beggars who were not fortunate like him that scene really made me cry begging for the sake of distributing this man is unique i said within me and walked away after placing a 20 rupee note in his hands,
